DoRaeMe and The Band

DoRaeMe and The Band realize the self as collective in a musical exploration of belonging. Riffing on vocal practices and cover bands, these works imagine the solo act as a place of ongoing artistic practice but also mourn the resulting isolation found in being separated from community. Originating from a punk rock cultural history, these works call out to collaborative partners that might exist within oneself when community is inaccessible.
